THE PROCESS
Guiding Clients every step of the way
Interior Design
Let me start by saying Interior Design is not just for the wealthy. It's for anyone who is looking for change, and doesn't know where to start or how to make it happen. I'm here to keep you from making costly mistakes, as well as show you ideas you may not have even considered. Typically we'll start with a consultation. This is usually a 1-2 hour meeting at your home to discuss the areas we'll be working on. In this time, I'll be asking a multitude of questions about how you function in the space, as well as your overall expectation of the finished product. Together, we'll discuss budget, timing, and come up with a plan to move forward. I'll work with the Architects, Engineers, Contractors and subs throughout the remodeling process, coordinating as we move forward on the project. I also provide 3D computerized drawings, so every client can clearly envision the finished product.
Home Staging
This can be done several ways. If the home is vacant, I'll meet with either the seller or their Realtor (or both) to discuss the budget, which rooms we'll be staging, and the time frame. Most homes can be staged within just a few days notice. If the home is occupied and already furnished, we'll typically start with a 1 hour staging consultation, where I walk through the home with the seller and/or Realtor and discuss the best way for them to get their home "market ready". I'll discuss neutralizing, de-cluttering, rearranging furniture to best showcase the rooms, how to accessorize, and where to best spend their money if any renovations are needed. This is not about Interior Design, but about getting their home ready to sell and looking its best for the photographer. I emphasize this with my client's and I'm always sensitive during this meeting. I know moving can be hard, and asking them to change the look of their home is not the easiest conversation to have. Trust me though, I've never had any complaints, and I always hear "I wish I would have done this years ago"!
